Financial Analyst

Overview of Company

Blemain Group is well established and extremely fast growing company operating primarily in the financial sector, in the following areas:

• €¢ Secured Lending & Mortgages

• €¢ Motor Finance

• €¢ Brokerage

• €¢ Property Investment/Development

The company was established over 30 years ago and now has over 230 employees servicing a national customer base. Turnover for the main Group was over £140m in the year ended June 2009 and net assets were over £200m at the year end.

A position has become available for a highly motivated and service-driven individual to join a small and busy team providing accurate financial data to stakeholders and assist in the efficient performance of the Financial Data Team.

The main duties of this role include:

FSA Reporting:

• €¢ Develop an understanding of the reporting requirements.

• €¢ Production and analysis of Quarterly MLAR & SUP16 reporting prior to final review. Bank of England Reporting:

• €¢ Develop an understanding of the reporting requirements.

• €¢ Production and analysis of Monthly of Monthly MM report prior to final review.

• €¢ Production and analysis of Quarterly MQ report prior to final review

Analysis:

• €¢ Review of monthly Repossession reporting.

• €¢ Review of Syndicate Arrears reporting.

• €¢ Development of Financial Models for use by the business.

• €¢ Ad hoc requests from Senior Management

You will also be required to develop an in-depth and thorough understanding of internal systems to answer specific queries on individual loan accounts, and develop an understanding of products and action amendments.

It is essential that the right candidate has:

• €¢ Advanced MS Excel skills – Pivot Tables, Vlookup, Graphs

• €¢ Attention to detail.

• €¢ Good Data manipulation / interrogation skills.

• €¢ Ability to take a high level approach as well as delving into the detail.

• €¢ Good communication skills

• €¢ Ability to build professional relationships with a range of stakeholders.

• €¢ An inquisitive mind – Ability to indentify errors and look for possible solutions

• €¢ Highly motivated, self starter

• €¢ Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and deliver to agreed deadlines.

• €¢ Service driven & Professional

Qualifications/ Knowledge/ Experience required:

• €¢ Part Qualified Accountant (Minimum)

• €¢ 2 + years experience in a management accounting or similar role

• €¢ Graduate Calibre - Finance / Maths

• €¢ Strong Academic background

• €¢ Financial Services experience desirable but not essential

The hours of our business are 9am – 6pm Monday to Friday; the salary we are offering for this role is between £22k and £24k depending on experience; and we offer amazing employee benefits- as detailed below.
